Position Description

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

Setting: Primary Care Clinic

Location: San Marcos, Texas

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: $120,000 – $125,000

Dress Code: Scrubs and closed-toe shoes

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join a primary care clinic in San Marcos. The practice operates under a concierge medicine model, allowing providers to spend meaningful time with patients in a supportive, non-corporate environment. The clinic serves patients of all ages and provides comprehensive primary care, including men’s and women’s health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Perform women’s and men’s health services, including pap smears and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with medical assistants and clinic staff to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Address patient needs and urgent issues, maintaining accessibility within established protocols.
  • Accurately document patient encounters and maintain up-to-date medical records.
  • Contribute to clinic operations and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (FNP or equivalent NP program).
  • Active Texas NP license.
  • BLS certification and DEA registration (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • Minimum 2 years of primary care experience; urgent care, family practice, or rural health experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of clinical experience in primary care or family practice.
  • Experience in concierge or membership-based medicine.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to patient care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
